Admission Procedure: Grades Students
1. Preliminary school Visit (Optional)
Attend an Open House or School Tour. It's a great way to see the campus, meet teachers, students, and parents; and have your questions answered.

2. Application and Fee
Please submit your admissions application online via TADS. There is a non-refundable application fee of $50. You may apply for Financial Aid at any time, however your Financial Aid request will not be reviewed until your child has been accepted to attend WSNO.

3. Records Release
In addition to the online application, WSNO requires records of your child's prior schooling. Please download the Transfer of Student Records Authorization Form from TADS, sign, and bring it to your child's current school. They may upload documents directly to TADS or fax them to WSNO, as they prefer and as indicated on the Authorization form. If your child is currently receiving therapy of any kind, or has an academic or medical evaluation, please forward those records to us, as well. Kindly follow up with the current school to ensure timely transfer of your child’s records.

4. Interview
After the application is complete and records have been received, viable applicants will be scheduled for an in-person interview (you and your child) with the prospective Class Teacher. We strive to have interviews scheduled within two weeks of receiving all application documents.

5. Class Visit
Based on the interview, your child will be invited for a school visit. Rising First Graders will be scheduled for a one-day visit; students entering all other grades will visit their prospective class for three days. Please fill out the Class Visit Authorization Form, and return it with your child the morning of the scheduled visit.
6. Admission Decision
Once the visit has been completed, the Admission Decision is made, in consult with our full faculty. Parents are contacted by the Enrollment Director with the admission decision and any additional requirements.
7. Agreement to Enroll
If your child is invited to join the Waldorf School of New Orleans, your acceptance is required within five business days. Students are admitted to a class in the order in which their enrollment is finalized, with:
-
Remittance of your non-refundable $1200 deposit
-
Acceptance of the billing agreement.
Once a class is at capacity, a wait-pool is established. Our teachers make the final determination of who will be admitted to their classes, as seats become available. We are unable to hold a spot without a deposit and a billing agreement.

Please complete your child’s registration online, under the “Enrollment” tab in TADS: Required information includes a copy of your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and current physical exam. Once these requirements are fulfilled, we will confirm your child’s first day at Waldorf School of New Orleans!
