Let's play 20 Questions! This week's guest is Waldorf School of New Orleans Early Childhood Office Manager Sue Greenholdt. She took some time out of her busy schedule to play today so that we can get to know her a little better.


1. What three traits define you?

I have no idea. 


2. What is your personal philosophy?

When going about my day, making  decisions, relating to other people, etc, I try to lead my thoughts with the following : Since death is certain but time of death is uncertain,  what is the most important thing now? (Shambala teaching)


3. What's one thing you couldn't live without?

Being creative or the act of creating. 


4. What are you reading these days?

The Warmth of Other Sun


5. What is the best book you've ever read? 

Impossible question, but I'm going to say Beloved by Toni Morrison.


6. Where is your favorite place to be?

Home


7. What is your favorite thing to do?

I have a tie: Cooking and painting 


8. What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?

I was an artist's figure model. More unusual than wierd (and chilly)


9. What’s the coolest (or most important) trend you see today?

Mindfulness 


10. Choose: Beaches or Mountains and tell us why!

Beaches, but I love both. I love the water. I like the sound of the surf, the vastness, and I love to swim.


11. What has been the most important innovation you have witnessed in your lifetime?

Computer technology. 


12. You’re hosting a dinner party. Who are the 3 people, from present or past, who you would invite and why?

I'm going to assume you mean famous people: Toni Morrison, Tennessee Williams, and Diane Arbus. All three are so talented and seem to have a similar dicatomy: Both eccentric and utterly authentic.  All were so brave in the art they created as well. I can't even imagine how great the conversation would be.


13. What is your favorite food?

Curries


14. If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

Acting


15. What's your best advice?

Chill and be kind to yourself.


16. What would you most like to tell yourself at age 12?

Chill and be kind to yourself.


17. Whom do you admire most?

That's a REALLY hard question. So I'm going to give a shout out to Sojourner Truth. I can't ever imagine such bravery and selflessness.


18. What is your greatest fear?

It's too grim to say.


19. Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I have a clown phobia. I really do. Don't test it, it ain't pretty to watch my reaction. (That's not the answer to #18.)


20. What is your favorite thing about working at WSNO?

Seeing the little ones go on their walk.
