2019 Rose Ceremony

Updated: Aug 17, 2019

The Rose Ceremony begins each school year. It is an all-school event that celebrates the first day of school by welcoming the new First Graders to the Grades. All Waldorf schools around the world share this tradition.

This year marked our first Rose Ceremony at our new home at the Rose Collaborative. Our new Music teacher, Mr. Bauman, played "When the Saints Go Marching In." Ms. Brown shared the of the story of "The Golden Key," then led her class under a bridge made by class parents. Once the new First Grade students reached their classroom, they each sang their daily greeting as Ms. Brown called roll. "Good morning, Ms. Brown. I am here, ready to work.”
