New Orleans, LA - The First Annual Winter Faire will be held on Saturday, December 1 from 10am-4pm at Waldorf School of New Orleans (517 Soraparu St., New Orleans, LA 70130). Enjoy candle dipping, crafts, fresh baked goods, handmade gifts for sale, and a lovely puppet show. Plus there will be trees, wreaths and garlands available for sale at the Winter Faire Magical Forest, complete with snow machine and our very special Giving Tree.


"The Winter Faire is different from other school fairs because it's not about high-energy games or wild and crazy rides," says Development Coordinator Erin Pelias. "It's a beautiful celebration of the winter season. It's magical!"

The Winter Faire offers fun for all ages including:

  • Candle Dipping: Make your own candles

  • Crafts: Kids can make their own holiday gifts

  • Handmade Gifts: Shop for everyone on your list

  • Puppet Show: Experience a Waldorf puppet show

  • Pocket Lady: Choose a pocket, receive a surprise

  • Raffle: Top prize is an award-winning handmade quilt

Waldorf School of New Orleans serves 140 students ranging in age from Nursery through 8th Grade at two campuses, our K-8 campus at 517 Soraparu St., and our Early Childhood Center at 2010 Peniston St. Waldorf School of New Orleans was founded in 2000 and will be celebrating its 20th anniversary next year as it relocates to its new home at the Rose Collaborative at 2539 Columbus St. in Mid City.
