We are now entering the 4th week of the state’s Stay-at-Home Mandate. It has not been easy for any of us, but we have persevered. Many of you have asked if we still would have Spring Break given the current circumstances. The answer is a resounding YES! However, it will be shortened.
Originally scheduled April 10-17, Spring Break is now scheduled Friday, April 10 through Tuesday, April 14. Remote Learning will resume Wednesday, April 15.
We appreciate all the dedication and hard work that our faculty, students, parents and administrative team have invested to ensure that the Waldorf School of New Orleans continues. Please take this needed break to spend time with your families and to recharge. Invest that same dedication and hard work into self-care.
Because we are concerned about your well-being, we hope you are continuing to follow all of the guidelines issued by our health and government officials to stay safe. As a friendly reminder, please continue to stay home, practice social distancing when out and about, and – most important – please continue to wash your hands.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you when WSNO reopens after the Governor has lifted the mandate for school closures. We truly miss our WSNO students, parents, faculty and staff and are already working on our plans for opening our doors again.
I personally want to wish everyone in the WSNO Family who celebrates Passover, Easter or Ramadan a Happy Holiday! Stay safe and be well!
In Partnership,
Joe Peychaud
Head of School
